Hurricane Irene - Transportation Impacts
Amtrak - no service south of Washington; NE Corridor service reduced tomorrow and cancelled on Sunday

Bolt Bus - cancellations tomorrow as needed; service cancelled on Sunday

Washington Metro - no current planned service changes

Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel - may close Saturday evening through Sunday evening

Philadelphia - SEPTA service suspended 12:30 Am - 12 PM Sunday

New Jersey
- NJ Transit rail suspended from 12 PM Saturday; NJ Transit bus and light rail suspended from 6 PM Saturday.
- The Garden State Parkway will be closed to all southbound traffic south of Interchange 98 in Wall Township, Monmouth County
- No tolls collected on the Parkway from Cape May to the Driscoll Bridge

NYC
- MTA bus, subway and commuter rail suspended beginning 12 PM Saturday; current bus service, westbound LIRR and subway service in evacuation zones are fare-free
- PATH rail system suspended from 12 PM Saturday
- JFK, LaGuardia and Newark Airports closed from 12 PM Saturday
- MTA bridges will close if winds reach sustained speeds of 60 mph, but this does not preclude them from closing sooner if high winds are coupled with other weather-related conditions; Tolls are suspended at the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge, the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge, the Verrazano-Narrows, Throgs Neck, and Bronx-Whitestone Bridges.

Boston - no current planned service changes

1. I have to chuckle at SEPTA.
Worst conditions are expected from 1p-4p Sunday (highest winds/rain) and they are just reopening for that event?
