Elizabeth Warren - "Unless you are a multi-millionaire, you are not safe".
This was from the additional footage in the movie Sicko.

And in the past, she's written an article or two addressing this subject.

The quote was made in reference to health care affordability.

But really, couldn't that quote be applied to almost everything else in life as well?

Should our country's bumper sticker read:

AMERICA: UNLESS YOU'RE A MULTI-MILLIONAIRE, YOU DON'T MATTER!

And if that's the case, then shouldn't something be . .. you know . . . DONE about that?

1. This is exactly right.
No one feels secure in this environment and that is why people aren't spending. Obama is doing a bad job of building confidence.

2. And with the health insurance debacle, and health costs continuing to rise,
who can take that kind of risk? In earlier times, the downside risk of failing if you struck out on your own as an entrepreneur was you'd end up having to get a job. NOW, you'll end up in bankruptcy, unemployed and potentially homeless. So the downside today is HUGE.

13. Eventually, people will have to get health care for what they can
afford to pay. I keep telling people in the medical profession this. If they want to keep working they'd better figure it out. I work for a blood center, so I'm in the same boat.

The main thing is, do we want to keep letting insurance and pharmaceutical companies keep raking so much off the top? There are more issues than that, but we could fix those two fairly quickly.

If people keep losing jobs and benefits, where do they think the money to pay for medical care is going to come from?

3. This will be her wedge issue against Brown. Brown with his barn coat
and pick-up truck liked to portray himself as one of us. But his two years have showed that he is in with big money interests and votes with the republicants almost exclusively. So he can call Warren an elitist but the people of Massachusetts will know who votes with the elites.

15. The people of Mass should have known better.
Brown was never one of them.

5. She's going to have buildings named after her.
All we have to do is get the gutter-slime regressives and their corporate handlers out of government. This will be a glacial process that requires a mass effort of educating our young, but it's got to happen if this country has any hope of surviving.

6. Gladly sent her $ even though not from MA.
She is certainly a worthy candidate. Watch the big bucks pour in to attempt to defeat her.
