Demonstrators from Occupy Wall Street campaign march into courtyard of NYPD headquarters - pics
Demonstrators from the Occupy Wall Street campaign march into the courtyard of New York Police Department headquarters in New York September 30, 2011. Protesters who have camped out near Wall Street for two weeks gathered on Friday to march to police headquarters over what they viewed as excessive force and unfair treatment of minorities and Muslims. The Occupy Wall Street movement, whose members have vowed to stay through the winter, are protesting issues including the 2008 bank bailouts, foreclosures and high unemployment. More than 500 people were gathered ahead of the start of the planned late afternoon march to One Police Plaza, the center of police operations, in downtown Manhattan.

3. "Maybe you could read this if it were a dollar sign."
"Arrest thieving bankers, not lawful protesters!"

Mike Luckovich got a shout-out from a protester's sign: "You have the right to remain silent. If you give up that right, you're engaging in class warfare."

Love you guys.

That dollar sign sign tears me up out here in the hills.

What a beautiful sight those protesters are to see.

11. I just remembered THIS!
I hope all who read it will pass it on/spread it around.
11 years ago I was teaching Art at the Bangor YWCA in Maine. There was a monthly newsletter published locally, that printed kids drawing stories and poetry. I encouraged my students to submit their work, and several of them made it into print.
The name of the newsletter was.......SMALL STREET JOURNAL
Can YOU BELIEVE IT? The Wall Street Journal actually came after them, took the to court, for name right infringement, they lost the case, and folded!
Cold Hard Bast--ds.....what THREAT was that to them, WHAT WERE THEY GOING TO LOSE? ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE OF HUMOR OR COMMUNITY SERVICE SPIRIT.

14. Alright, where is the media?
I was there the first weekend and I kind of rationalized the coverage by the fact that is was kind of small, disorganized, and non-eventful. But this and the mass arrests on the Brooklyn Bridge should be getting some sort of attention.
