A bit of money of mine on the OccupyWallStreet protest
Source: Uncommon knowledge

I'm thinking of traveling from the Midwest to New York to partake in the demonstration on Wall St. However, I have no place to stay if i don't spend more on a hotel. Does anyone know of a communal shelter there?

No link yet.

1. I haven't heard of any and haven't been in the area for years.
Check the website https://occupywallst.org/ They have a chat room you might be able to find a crash house or split expenses on a flop house in the area.
Anybody I know in the area is in S Jersey and would require a long bus ride.

2. There is an American Youth Hostel. It is on the upper west side
103rd and Amsterdam

212-932-2300. You would have to take the subway to Wall Street.
