Wow--15 announced Republican Presidential candidates--
Of course, that's counting each of the voices in Michelle Bachmann's head as a separate candidate.

7. I wish Buddy Roemer somehow had more support
Any candidate pushing campaign finance reform would be a very valuable addition to the conversation.

10. He might be counting Christie and Palin
Christie has been developing a network of donors at the same time he's telling people he isn't running (yeah, right). Palin will be the perennial candidate for at least the next 20 years, or at least as long as Faux continues to give her airtime.

8. You and Peter Sagal must have the same writer -- heard that
line on "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" this morning.

It's still funny.

11. Since the first primary is five months away, it hasn't arrived yet
I figure that with the repukes the way they are this cycle, anyone who isn't in by Groundhog Day has about a 50 percent chance of running.

12. Yes, it's August 27, 2012

From a practical sense, if a candidate wants to develop a donor network they must announce much sooner.
