Thank you, President Obama.
Thank you for your strong action to help protect American citizens. May this event evoke fear in others who seek to do us harm.

The following comment says it all for me:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/sep/30/anwar-awlaki-us-winning-alqaida#start-of-comments

"...International terrorist leaders now know that not only will a few suicide bombers die, but that anyone else involved will die as well. Only a very few leaders are really willing to become martyrs. Not only does the bomber die suddenly but so do the guy who knowingly drove him to the airport and the guy who sent the money.

The number of people who want to attack the West may not decrease but with this level of fear the number willing to actually attack is sharply down. The fear of likely dying a sudden and violent death has this effect."

13. So far, the Obama administration has the courts on its side.
When the Obama administration added Awlaki to the kill-or-capture list, the ACLU and the Center for Constitutional Rights sued under US and international law to block the listing.

But US District Judge John Bates refused to intervene in Awlaki's case.

"This court recognizes the somewhat unsettling nature of its conclusion – that there are circumstances in which the executive's unilateral decision to kill a US citizen overseas is 'constitutionally committed to the political branches' and judicially unreviewable," Bates wrote. "But this case squarely presents such a circumstance."

29. that was not adjudicated on the merits of the case, rather on the standing of the plaintiff
Obama has nobody on his "side" in this regarding the judiciary

Protecting international business interests?

Whatever the reasons were or are now, the sooner we get our soldiers out of there the better.

You continue to show yourself to be just as eager as your predecessor to ignore international law.
