So far, as I posted at the media board,
the broadcast TV networks have ignored Occupy Wall Street.
And suddenly I thought about the recently deceased Gil Scott-Heron's "
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised".
It's like how state-run media in Egypt and Syria wouldn't cover the protests unless from the government's hostile POV, or how Chinese state-run media has ignored the Tiananmen protests since 1989.
Meanwhile even though the US is supposedly a free-speech democracy the corporate media won't show ANY story that would lose its advertisers, whether investigations into the energy industry, financial sector, or now a protest against the very capitalist pigs who provide financial support for the media owners. Hell, PBS would've lost support from Bank of America had
NewsHour even run a brief item on OWS.
