Military appreciation thread.
I was just thinking about how awesome our servicemen and women are and decided to start a military appreciation thread. My apologies if this is something that has been done recently or is done often here, kind of a newbie.

To all members of our military, I appreciate your sacrifice more than you could ever know and hope for your safe return and a prosperous life upon your return.

Despite what you may hear on Faux News democrats and progressives do not hate the military! Thank you all!

3. Of course we love the military... the men and women who make it work.
We don't always agree with the dolts and cheats who lead and command them.

5. During this decade of wars... the only Americans asked to sacrifice have been those in the Service
and their families. I am fervantly anti-war, but at the same time support those serving in the military. You are not responsible for the policies of this country, and you are willing to serve your country. Thank you - and may you be safe.

6. I support the future of the men and women
that love their country and believed joining was the best way to express that love.
I support an end to "the wars" and their safe return to their families and loved ones.

7. It's the top One % that bribe Washington to send our young people to die for oil
and big money contracts. I support our troops and feel very bad for the families that have to suffer the loss of a son, daughter, father or mother because yacht payments, green fees and cost of private security guards at the mansion are going up.

8.  Bring back the draft
and let the ones that earn money from the blood of our service members share the pain and suffering of those placed in harms way.Why are there so many citizens against the draft, have they been brain washed by the conservative press and their propaganda specialists?.

9. More than 17,000 draftees died in Vietnam
The draft helped to mobilize opposition to the war, but it didn't bring about an immediate end to it.

There are valid reasons for opposing a draft that transcend liberal/conservative identification. At the same time, many who oppose a draft may be more amenable to a policy calling for compulsory national service that offers a range of service options--not just the military.

10. My Dad was Navy. I appreciate the military when it does what
it was meant to do, which is to protect our nation. I don't like it when TPTB use it as a bully tactic or to protect resources, all at the expense of people who weren't born in this country. (And at the expense of some who were, too.)
