I support Occupy Wall Street
I've spent some time thinking about it. I think that if you are a Democrat, Liberal, Progressive, you have to support the OccupyWallStreet movement. They aren't perfect, nothing ever is but this is the chance to fix what is wrong for which many of us have been waiting.

4. We Are the 99%!
I think they are awesome! I think the movement will take time to become a force - but I think it will become enough of a force to shift the public discourse. And all done from dedication - without the Koch money needed to give voice to the teabaggers.

10. That is the slogan. That is the unifying statement for which I have been waiting.
We ARE the 99%!

5. I support OWS.
For those that do, they need dry goods and food. A box of dry socks, waterproof boots, sleeping bags, canned food, ramen noodles all these can be mailed
to the address below.

7. I don't think this was ever the issue...
You'd be hard-put to find any Democrat, liberal or progressive who opposes the fact that OWS is protesting. What is of concern to some (myself included) is the tactical approach they're taking.

8. I understand, that was my concern too. I am going to ignore that concern and just support them.
I dont think we have a choice. Obviously, if I were architecting this or one of the leaders, I would do a few things differently, but that is not how things are.

9. Sometimes the beginnings of a movement aren't smooth.....
especially if it's just a bunch of people getting together trying to figure out exactly what to do. I support OWS, and look forward to it's growth throughout the country.

The only way ordinary people have power is to assemble.

11. What else do you suggest?
Put forth some reasonable ideas that will translate into further positive constructive action and they would be welcomed with sincere joy by everyone involved.
:thumbsup
One awesome poitive thing about the tactics of OWS so far is that we are having this discussion.

12. Perfect is the worst enemy of good
There is a story about a Japanese potter who wanted to make a perfect clay bowl. Years and years he pottered and pondered and pondered, and then one day, a faultless beautifull bowl was made. The potter took a look, raised an eyebrow and made a scratch on the perfectly smooth surface of the bowl. "It is not perfect without a fault", he said to his pupil.

13. Wonderful story. I had a great aunt who always wanted to remodel
her kitchen. She never did because she always worried if the next new appliance wouldn't be better than the one she could get now.
