Occupy Boston pics from this morning...
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 03:48 PM by rasputin1952
these were taken between 0645-1045.

I wanted to get down there early,it was chilly, people were in great spirits. The BPD was calm and collective. At this point, the city of Boston has not issued a permit, but this is "tolerated". They have a stock of food and water. Some people have come by offering to do laundry and make sure things are OK. They have an Aid Tent and they are determined.

14. This is such a wonderfully diverse city...
I marched w/the Vets for Peace at the Honk Parade up in Cambridge. So many different cultures mixing and laughing, dancing and just plain having fun.

In front of us were the Brazil-Africans Drum Band and behind us was the Leftist Marching Band, both are fantastic. There was a Mongolian Dance Troupe and everyone was as friendly as possible. For the life of me, when I'm in situations like that, I can't see why this can't spread all over the world. Universal things like music, dancing, laughing...it would be so easy, but people just don't reach out enough.

Sing, dance, laugh...live life!...:D

15. I agree and it sounds like a wonderful time...
And truly inspiring. I'm not a fan of big cities, but Boston works because it's actually neighborhoods. It's like a collection of towns. :D :hi:
