Amanda Knox
Good.

No cynicism from me. I always thought she was innocent. I always thought this was a miscarriage of justice.

1. I always thought she was innocent, too.
I'm glad she's free.

2. Now she won't dominate the news
Now if the Micheal Jackson trial could end.
On Saturday night, after the OWS protests, there was not a mention of the arrests on local news. Amanda Knox and M.Jackson got all the coverage.
On Sunday, the Tucson paper had a photo, with no column, of the OWS protest. Damn.

4. I haven't studied the case, but I know it was questionable...
...and for that reason alone she should be free.

6. I hadn't studied the case until 5 days ago
Seeing the polarity bothered me. I had schadenfreudenly assumed guilt, but upon examination of the evidence, found myself horrified at the impossibility of the case against both her and Sollecito (her boyfriend of 2 weeks). The case was one of perverse and archaic swagger against debunked notions and stereotypes that somehow gained ludicrous traction in some emotional hollow somewhere....
