Rushing to the defense of Rick Perry, Stephen Colbert said Monday evening that the controversial hunting camp rock story was “much ado about nothing.”
While letting a Herman Cain soundbite say the word “N—er head” instead of himself, the Comedy Central host mentioned how, “Many presidents have vacationed at questionably named resorts.”
“For instance, Chester A. Arthur spent all his summers at Thieving Chinaman Springs!” he said. “And Richard Nixon used to go fly fishing at Jews Control The Media Creek! Even Barack Obama spends a lot of time at Camp David, which until recently, only admitted white presidents.”
Colbert then referenced how a Red State commentator defended Perry by explaining that the word was a “technical term,” meaning “the striking weight on a pile driver,” “an isolated coral head,” notorious as a navigation hazard,” or a “black iron post for mooring ships.”
