Law-enforcement trying to trick people into attacking Stock Exchange?
Cyber-security bills are moving through Congress.

Protesters are camping near Wall Street.

How to help pass the cyber-security bills and discredit the protesters?

Trick people into attacking the NY Stock Exchange.

“Operation Invade Wall Street is bullshit,” said another statement on PasteBin. “It is a fake planted operation by law enforcement and cyber crime agencies in order to get you to undermine the Occupy Wall Street movement. It proposes you use depreciated tools that have known flaws such as LOIC.”

“Anonymous would never tell you to use LOIC – Not after the arrests and failures of Operation Payback.”

2. It makes no sense to have a cyberattack on the websites and internet
operations of the stock market.

The point is to get corporate money out of Wall Street and to get more responsible governance of the trading on Wall Street, not to destroy the place.

Who in the world would want to attack the stock market? We would like to insure fairer trading and real investment instead of gambling. But only idiots want to destroy the place either virtually or physically.

3. Oh, good -- I was wondering about this the other day
I can't find the thread now, but it seemed really strange to me that Anonymous would be encouraging people to use LOIC after the fallout that followed the arrests of random adolescents who used it the last time.

And I did see some reference to "Invade Wall Street" in a post on one of the Anon Twitter accounts earlier today, linking it to the possibility that provocateurs had led the OWS marchers onto the Brooklyn Bridge. So this is all starting to make a lot more sense.

It's possible that the paranoia is premature -- but given what went down in the 60's, it would be unreasonable not to expect it.

Maggie comes fleet foot
Face full of black soot
Talkin’ that the heat put
Plants in the bed but
The phone’s tapped anyway
Maggie says that many say
They must bust in early May
Orders from the D.A.
Look out kid
Don’t matter what you did
Walk on your tiptoes
Don’t try “No-Doz”
Better stay away from those
That carry around a fire hose
Keep a clean nose
Watch the plain clothes
You don’t need a weatherman
To know which way the wind blows

4. In this video of the Brooklyn Bridge

...the guy on the bicycle shouting "Take it" may be an undercover cop.

He seems a little too eager for protesters to walk into the trap, and his timing is a little too convenient.
