WV Governor Special Election thread
There was a special election today for the remaining term of (now) Senator Manchin. Here is a link to incoming results

with 2 out of 1876 precincts reporting it is

Tomblin (D) 970 votes (54%)
Maloney (R) 693 votes (40%)

5. Wasn"t this the election that Tuck Choad was certain
...would be won by the GOP challenger? I swear he had some yappyhead on this morning and they were swearing up and down this thing was a lock for the repub because...I don't know. Tuck Choad chaps my ass.

8. Labor in WV is very organized. They have a good ground game.
In a low turnout election that makes a huge difference.

24. I am in MD but near the WV panhandle. My thoughts are yhat Martinsburg
will go R, along with big parts of the northern 1/3rd part of the state. Charleston/Huntington are really far from me but my understanding is that labor is strong there.

I know Bill Maloney personally, and I can say without reservation that he is a fucking asshole.

If he wins, I will be absconding from WV most expeditiously.
