Mitch McConnell's top priority is to make sure Obama is a one term president. One can assume that this is the top priority of the Republicans in congress. What isn't top priority?
1. Jobs, jobs, jobs.
2. Unemployment, or by extension, the economy of the country. Some things they have done benefit the hedge fund managers and other financial business, at the expense of the nation (see 2008)
3. American children. Education is being cut or transferred to charter schools. Who owns these?
4. Infrastructure. Stuff doesn't fit itself, but that's definitely not a top priority for Republicans.
5. Keeping jobs in the U.S. for its citizens. Sorry, that cuts into the profits of donors to the Republican party so its priority is actually negative.
And on and on. Anybody who thinks these things will become a priority if Republicans get more power is, by definition, insane.
