This is what a Blood Alcohol Content of .330 looks like
mug shot

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Authorities say a 29-year-old Alliance man was arrested over the weekend for driving while extremely intoxicated.

Barry Landwert, 29, was taken into custody at 2:45 a.m. on October 2, 2011 after police responded to a car accident in the parking lot of 1672 Rosemont Avenue.

When police arrived they suspected Landwert of being intoxicated and he was given a blood alcohol content breath test.

According to Alliance Police Sgt. Michael Yarian, Landwert's breath test showed he had a blood alcohol content level of .330, more than four-times the legal limit of .08 in Ohio.

8. He did crash his car.
Thankfully, it looked to be a minor fender-bender, not a fatal smash-up.

5. Too bad it's a still shot of his face
instead of a video showing him trying to walk and having pissed himself some hours earlier.

The bouncer should have confiscated his keys, he was so stinking drunk he couldn't even make it out of the parking lot.

24. I thank the FSM for that every day.
A few roomates and I rented a house in college and had regular parties there. If this sort of thing had existed back then, we could have filled an entire website with shots of the various insane things we did, and the hundreds of nights we spend drinking instead of studying.

This one is pretty funny though:

I'd love to know how that person reacted when they woke up and really had to pee.

13. YMMV.
the .3 range is where things start to get dangerous, though usually, it takes a 0.4+ to threaten the life of a person with a decent alcohol tolerance...

17. It's getting to be to the level where you could stay passed out despite vomiting
and that's dangerous, but it's not going to shut your body down on its own.

18. Sometimes it's the vomiting that does you in
You're so drunk that you pass out in your own vomit, aspirate, and die. There are so many ways to die from drinking, too many to list.

26. Death from alcohol poisoning generally occurs between 0.40 and 0.50
It can happen in the upper 0.3's with certain body types, but as other posters have said, losing conciousness and vomiting is a bigger risk in that range.

Alcohol is a nervous system depressant, and at 0.40 you get into the range where it can start depressing your breathing and heartbeat, which will kill you. The exact point where this starts to happen varies by person, and the severity of the depression will also vary by body type. At 0.50, nearly anyone would be suffering potentially fatal breathing and heart rate problems, but you can still survive with prompt medical attention. Above 0.50 is almost universally fatal.

16. When I was a cop we scraped one poor guy off the ground
who had a BAC in excess of 4.0. I forget what the actual number was, but I suspect the only reason he survived was his size and tolerance to booze.
