Roger Ailes: "I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings." Seriously, who does this surprise?

p.s. Wow, someone at Fox actually came out and told the truth for once :)

1. here is my take on fox and its news
they know they have low quality content
they pack the shows with questionably good looking young women
they put the women in many of their shows on a couch or stool
they are predominately dressed in skirts and dresses
a quick search on you tube brings dozens maybe hundreds of "accidental" wardrobe malfunctions
my take is fox runs a peep show with some news in it but mostly they want you to look at the shiny girls

4. I'll go a step further and say it's a form of hypnotizing.
They hypnotize you with the questionably good looming women and then fill your head with all the garbage they spew on a daily basis. Repeat ad nauseum.

5. Yes. I think you make a good point.
Notice how many of their "anchor-ettes" resemble blow-up dolls? They probably have greta on there merely as a visual token.

You may not be old enough to remember when george h.w. bush ran for president in his own right, in 1988, coming off being reagan's VP. He chose the distressingly thick dan quayle as his VP and I clearly remember, when quayle was announced, reading a quote in some of the coverage how one of the things that made quayle appealing was his good looks. It was referred to as "one for the ladies" (paraphrasing but only slightly). These people are all about looks, SURFACE looks. Everything superficial. It's all there on the surface and that's distracting enough so it occurs to NO ONE to go any deeper. Deep? Say what? What's that? Go deeper? What for? It's great just like this - instant gratification. Thinking need not apply. No need for objective analysis or fact-based reality. Just be one mindless gaping maw consuming whatever info the powers-that-be wish America to have. While America gets distracted by the "shiny girls" you mention up top, SwampG8r.

2. Quite a few comments on there: "notice he said 'WAS'..."
Some interpret that as a dog-whistle that her days at Pox are numbered.

6. Of course they are. She's a no talent with a diva personality
She's also under contract, so I imagine she'll spend the balance of it twiddling her thumbs at her brand new Arizona mansion and counting her paychecks.
