Board of Trade has a message for Occupy Chicago
CLICK THE LINK TO SEE THE PICTURE!

Someone at the Board of Trade is getting cheeky with the Occupy Chicago protests. This photo was taken by someone at the protests. It shows offices at the Board of Trade Building eight stories up with "We Are The 1%" taped to the windows. If only someone could hurl rocks that high.

Organizers at Occupy Chicago, in their hyperbole, have called this "Wall Street's 1st Large Scale Response in Chicago."

Judging from the Twitter chatter we'd be best served paying attention to events on the ground. Rumblings are once again afoot the police may be forcing the removal of protestors and allies of the protests are screaming on Twitter for a place to stow the protestors' stuff.

2. So How Do You Go Get 'Em?
While the Halcyion is intoxicating, the real question is still to what ends can OSW or Occupy Whatever achieve something other than venting frustration? From one who marched in the 60s and 70s I appreciate the energy and "symbolism" but that will wear off...then what? Right now they can sit in their LaSalle Street offices and laugh as they only see signs not actions. Any wupport out there to push for Dodd-Frank? How about organizing and occupying the offices of the Congresscritters who stand in the way of any real reform. My concern is all this energy can easily lead to additional frustrations...and then what? I'd hate to see a moment go to waste...thus the need to stay focused and work toward some achieveable goal...something to build from rather than to try to take down the system all at once (which won't happen).

3. Here's an appropriate famous movie quote:
"Your stupid minds, stupid stupid!"

5. Well so far none of their plans have worked.
So they are reduced to "poking the badger" in hopes to get a violent response. Then they can have their media report on the horrible people attacking the poor little hedge fund managers and stock traders.
