5. news of his death came hours before Jobs died, why didn't you make one in itself
rather than as a response to the threads about job's death.

16. I was reading "Letter from a Birmingham Jail" recently and it made me get lost on Wikipedia...
Edited on Thu Oct-06-11 03:16 AM by joshcryer
...about the rights movement.

Fred Shuttlesworth, I would argue, was right there in almost every article that started there. Incredible man.'

edit: clarify, I know King wrote that letter, I'm saying while researching that letter on Wikipedia I found myself reading other articles, and Fred was one that kept popping up, naturally.

22. A real hero
Watching the coverage of the Steve Jobs death is making me sick. We lionize CEOs who hock cheap electronics and ignore real civil rights leaders. What a country.

27. RIP Rev. Shuttlesworth
I'm sure Rev. Al will do a tribute segment on his show tonight.

I disagree about only needing one thread - there are lots of stories that get buried quickly, depending on the news of the day. I have no issue with a few duplicate deserving threads, and this man certainly deserves his story to be seen.
