I was thinking of making this a separate OP, and still might.
As great as these Occupy movements have been, there has still been far too great a focus on "my country" and "taking it back." It's far too jingoistic, and only serves to further the divisive thinking that has led us here. There's no problem with acting locally, but we should be thinking globally. That's why I think "take our humanity back" would be much more appropriate for the situation, because its been hid/divided from us by those who profit from our separation. We need to move beyond nationalism if we expect true change.
"There will never be enduring peace unless and until human beings come to accept a philosophy of life more adequate to the cosmic and psychological facts than the insane idolatries of nationalism. - Aldous Huxley
"And then there is nationalism. With its Fifty-Seven Varieties of tribal gods, nationalism is the religion of the twentieth century. We may be Christians, Jews, Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists, Confucians or Atheists; but the fact remains that there is only one faith for which large masses of us are prepared to die and kill, and that faith is nationalism. That nationalism will remain the dominant religion of the human race for the next two or three centuries at the very least seems all too probable. If total, nuclear war should be avoided, we may expect to see, not the rise of a single world state, but the continuance, in worsening conditions, of the present system, under which national states compete for markets and raw materials and prepare for partial wars." - Huxley
