Spitzer: High speed trading does nothing for society, yet drives market volatility
Its Goldman Sachs trading back and forth to BOA. Taxing these and other types of trades would be a great source of revenue for jobs programs.

1. Taxing those trades would shut HFT down
they simply submit way too many of them... it would become unprofitable real quick

what HFT does is the stock market equivalent of that scam in Office Space where they're shaving fractions of pennies off of transactions to collect in their own accounts

2. if i remember correctly the brits tax every trade....
another thing to do is make commodity speculators actually buy/hold what they "purchase".
