Teleforma was covering it last night... and what is this about? Well it is a reaction against Neoliberal economic policies...
:applause:
YES! They get it abroad.
Then CNN (En Españoñ) has a great program. a la Charlie Rose, where Aristegi, the host, was discussing this with an economist. He tied this to Tahrir and a world movement to fight these policies that are quite frankly leading to another great depression. (He did not quite go to my parallel of 1848, but this is exactly what this is)
:applause:
I was going... CNN-I has been mostly useless but Mexican TV, when they talk about this, after being mostly neutral... are now speaking the truth and telling us fairly intelligent analysis. MSNBC... they live there... taking the Mexican media a week, I get it. They needed to do their research.
Also I doubt there is any fear of this coming to mexico. I am quoting here, "Mexico is rather provintial and the government and the people do not think they will be truly affected by the current crisis and we are in for a surprise."
But yes, I am now watching very good coverage and discussion when they actually have it. As I said, they are a tad more worried about that war on drugs and rightfully so.
Now what the economist said regarding the economy is far more worrisome than getting OWS. He said that there is no political will to do what needs to be done to fix this. He almost went there... that the political elites fear the economic elites and are not doing what needs doing to avoid another great depression. In this he spoke of Obama, Merkel, Brown... et al... and yes he included Calderon that lives in the delusion that Mexico is somehow not connected to the rest of the world.
