When I was 12 and listening to Jean Shepard on a 6 transistor AM radio late at night
I never imagined a day would come where I could call my beautiful daughter and see her when we talked, or photos snapped on her iPhone could be delivered in seconds to my phone or computer, where the people I work with use a small notepad-like device to communicate and work on, I never dreamed life could be so cool.

Two giants made it possible, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Steve understood style, and how important is is. The other, well, he bulldozed his way to the top of the software food chain. I don't think he will be remembered as kindly as Steve jobs. Ever.

I lost my brother to te same insidious disease that took Steve Jobs. It shows no prejudice, only pain and suffering, but unfortunately, it seems to only take the good of this world.

Thanks for reading. Today is a day of honor, let the man rest in peace.

2. Sweatshop laborers won't miss either of them
nor will they see them as any different.

I guess it's all about perspective.

3. Well, I can't afford an iphone or ipad, but I do like my ipod.
It's five years old, heavily used, and still going strong. Two thumbs up!

10. Because nobody on DU is using any product by Gates or Jobs..
Edited on Thu Oct-06-11 10:34 AM by Kahuna
What are the chances of THAT? And if they think they are such scumbags, they should vow to never, ever use their products. What's the chance of THAT happening? :eyes:

13. Well, some people are upset that they can't afford Jobs' products, which
forces them to use Gates' products.
