To all the so-called 'journalists' framing OWS as a joke:
Edited on Thu Oct-06-11 11:27 AM by Avalux
In two weeks, the movement has spread to hundreds of cities.

Contrary to what is getting reported, the protesters are diverse, not just kids smoking pot and aging hippies.

I see the faces of working-class union-type folk; teachers, nurses, laborers.

I see the unemployed; those who have had their homes taken away, those who will never be able to retire.

I see the elderly, I see the middle-aged, I see the young.

I see you, I see me.

The 'journalists' can try to frame the movement as they wish; after all, they have the freedom to do so.

However, the protesters in Liberty Plazas all over this country and world have a message for them:

We are the 99% and we will not be silenced.

1. Obama was asked about it at his presser, and he didn't discount
it/them at all. He understands it's an indication of how we're fed up with the people who got us into this mess continuing to do the same thing.

3. Their giant paychecks depend on us being fearful and subservient to corporations.
And when we're not, it's time to MARGINALIZE until the Cops of the 1% come and take care of this rabble over their right to peacefully assemble.

4. Marginalization won't work.
The cops....I wonder how they can sleep at night, since they're part of the 99% as well.

5. The ones who aren't thuggish will go "I was just following orders".
Time to find out where the orders are coming from.

8. "First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you..."
"Then they attack you.

Then you win."
