Hank Williams Jr. cut from ESPN’s team for good (BRAWHAHAHAHAHAAAA)
Source: Raw Story

ESPN announced Thursday that the network had permanently severed ties with Hank Williams Jr. after he publicly compared President Barack Obama to Adolph Hitler.

Bocephus had told the hosts of Fox & Friends Monday that Obama playing golf with House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) was ‘like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu.’

ESPN quickly decided to pull Williams’ song “All My Rowdy Friends” from the opening of Monday Night Football that night, but declined to speculate about the network’s future relationship with the country star.

On Thursday morning, ESPN said it had made the decision to bench Williams for good.

1. I think there's a Fox sports network that will probably sign him up.

4. I agree - maybe he'll do the intro for "Fox and Friends"

"Are you ready for some disinformation?"

He can be the celebrity redneck who can provide the "real American" commentary from the end of the couch.

2. Just go back to the late 70s theme

That classical music bombast which was SO AWESOME... it also helped MNF was so great back then.

5. I'm particularly amused at the boycott that fizzled before it began
I read some grumbling about how there would be no more Monday Night Football in fans' homes. I'm sure those rowdy friends who like football are gonna jump on that yokel driven bandwagon.

I can hear the conversation at the watercooler now: "Did you catch the big game last night?" "No, I won't watch football on Mondays anymore because they don't play a 30 second clip of Bocephus before the game." Hahahahaha. Just like the boycott over the Rushbo firing brought ESPN to their knees.

It reminds me of a conversation I had the other night at a bar here in Ohio where we were discussing the concealed weapon law that allows permit holders to bring a gun in the bar. A friend noted that a bar he goes to has a new sign up that says "absolutely no weapons". I wondered aloud if the people who want to carry will hurt business by telling their gun toting friends to boycott the bar. My buddy reminded me that "they aren't allowed to buy drinks if they have a gun". Some boycotts are just doomed at the onset.

7. No more easy gigs for Bocephus.
