I just wanted 3 things
3 things that would, in my eyes, lead to a fixing of many other things in our society. (aside from ending the wars and taxing the hell out of the rich)

1) reinstate the fairness doctrine.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_Doctrine

2) reinstate glass-steagall
http://www.investopedia.com/articles/03/071603.asp

3) employee free choice act
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Employee_Free_Choice_Act

Just think what would happen if these three things happened.

The media propaganda machine would come to a screeching halt, regulation would return to the savings/loan/banking industry and lastly, but not least, workers would be able to openly organize unions without fear (well, at least without getting their heads busted open).

Simple things that would have had such grand implications.

But alas, here we are.

2. I'd have to add, protecting Social Security
but that's probably because I'm in my late 50s and can see it on the horizon.

3. See, that' s just it, if the fairness doctrine was reenacted...
we would get the truth, but as it is now, we just get the bullshit from the right wing.

these 3 things have such far reaching implications. They effect everything.

4. My line in the sand
was meaningful, affordable access to healthcare.

Still looks like I'll have to leave this failed country to get that.

8. Again, it goes back to the fairness doctrine...
if we had gotten both sides of the arguement instead of the right wing bullshit propaganda, I honestly believe that a public option would have been a reality.

With the fairness doctrine, you have a better informed public.

This is why it will never return. Can't have the people knowing the facts, after all.

5. Given the clogged nature of Congress, I think you are asking for far too much with just one of those
They are pipe dreams at this point.

7. I had a long list
Basically none of them have happened, and in some cases they have moved in the opposite direction. You can "blame" some of that on congress, but not all of them.
