He's a very small person for being such a lardass. He's the kid who was picked on at the playground and now relishes being the bully. That's exactly who he is, and exactly why he didn't mention Sarah Palin today at all on his show.

He's petulant, and his widdle feelings were hurt. Nothing more, nothing less. You can take that to the bank.
