I am so proud of my children's generation
They have recognized they have been fucked and are figuring out how to secure their own future against the resurgence of robber barony.

I stand in awe of the accomplishments over these last 3 weeks.

I stand in awe of the inclusiveness of the 99% movement.

I stand in awe that their grave peril is being met with love for all.

Suddenly, I have newly found hope for humanity.

I'm off to put on some Buffalo Springfield.

1. Yep.... I wasn't always sure they had it in them.
Some of us "old" protesters from the 1960s have been waiting for them to pick up the mantle. Now that they have, I wish I had the strength to be on the barricades with them.

10. I have felt guilty for bringing children into this world...
and yesterday, my 15 year old daughter, said, "I am so lucky to be alive to see these changes happening."
When she was 5, she was in the room as we watched the towers fall on TV. She said, "Why are they sending ambulances for a bunch of dead people?" When Bush had his inaugural trip down Pennsylvania Avenue, in a car with people booing, she said in her Barbie town, they were going to dress the Bush looking Ken doll and scream, Fucker!" at him. Most of her life has been war war war even though it doesn't touch her actual life, she knows. I am happy to watch her grow. She gives me hope. They all do. The YOUTH! The TRUTH!

11. Kids often focus on the positive.
Rather than focusing on how it should have been for them.

I'm slowly coming to the realization that it's not my fault even though it feels like it should be.
