So, NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly said there's a core of anachrists making it necessary
to use brute force.

http://www.wral.com/business/story/10229467/

New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Thursday police will continue to accommodate the protests "as long as they do it peacefully and in accordance with the laws and regulations."

The vast majority of the protests have been peaceful, "but there's clearly a core group of self-styled anarchists ... who want to have a confrontation with police," said Kelly, who added that the city has spent about $2 million in overtime to police the protests.

Oh really?

Anyone attending the OWS in New York witness any anarchist activity - present NYPD behavior not included.

1. There probably are some anarchists in the movement, but I call bullshit on the commissioner's words.
In fact is is often the police posing as anarchists that incite the violence. A false flag play.

5. You'd surely think we'd hear of troublemakers via the protesters by now, so far nothing
but police abuse against peaceful protesters.

You can smell the set up.

6. When the term is used by law enforcement during times such as these, it's code.
Or at least seems like code to me.

I hope all stay safe!

8. Although I am just learning about them myself,
they have been quite a big part of people's movements. Not crazy chaotic people with no morals. its like the way theey throw around the word socialism. It's bothersome.

11. Hey, if it justifies overtime for the troops, Kelly should be in favor of Anarchism.
Wave those red, black, and green flags, Ray.

15. Lots of anarchist activity
General Assemblies are anarchist activity. Leaderless decentralized movement is by definition anarchist activity.

16. A while back, there was a wonderful series on PBS.
It was called "Chicago: City of the Century." The episode where they talk about the labor movement and how it became conflated with the anarchist movement in the latter part of the nineteenth century is absolutely riveting. So yes, this sounds quite familiar.

You know, come to think of it, maybe material like this is why conservatives are so hostile to PBS.

18. Next meme: they hate us for our freedom.
Pretty soon the self-styled anarchists will be smashing batons with their heads. Kelly's boys are the victims here.
