Bank of America, other CEOs: Tax us more, if...

Bank of America CEO says wealthy Bank of America clients would support 'millionaire tax' if money used to put US fiscal house in order. Google chairman says higher taxes wouldn't crimp his spending.

Captains of Google, Bank of America and Citicorp say they are ready to pay higher taxes, as long as Congress uses the money to get the U.S. economy back on its feet.

...

``We need to get jobs going in this country and anything to do that would make some sense,'' said Brian Moynihan, chief executive of Bank of America , who earned $10.9 million including restricted stock options in 2010.

He said that Bank of America's wealth management clients he talks to say they also would be supportive, depending on how the money would be used.

``If they believe it puts our fiscal house in order, they say 'That's great.''' But they also want to see spending levels brought down as part of the equation, he said.

2. RIGHT! END THESE FUCKING WARS!
"Oh wait, I meant 'end spending for things I don't like,' such as anything that helps (really, enables) the rabble in any way . . . the wars MUST be continued!"

:eyes:

God forbid their money goes to help and not destroy someone. NOOOOOOO, can't have THAT Commie nonsense now.

3. If Google thinks that, then why do they pay fancy accountants to funnel
all their earnings overseas to reduce their tax burden?

They practice the shell game BIG TIME.

Just pay what you already owe and stop clowning around with the shelter games. We wouldn't even need a political solution!

5. Can we negotiate our taxes?
I do not ever recall having the privilege of insisting how my taxes are used other than by voting. So now they feel entitled to publicly direct our elected representatives. This just gets worse every day.

9. These guys are being dishonest. You can use the money for jobs or you can use the money to pay...
down the deficit/debt, but you can't do both at once with the same money.
