I can remember as far back as 2003
when protests were happening around the world protesting the suggestion of a pre-emptive war against a certain weapons of mass destruction dictator named Saddam. The IAEA said there were no WMD's of importance. The peoples of the world were united against this stunningly stupid rush of Imperialism.

Bush, Blair, Aznar, & Berlisconi knew better than a couple of billion protestors. As it turned out Bush, Blair, Aznar, and Berlisconi were wrong(they knew they were) and the mass protesters were right.

OWS has that history of how governments will totally ignore the popular movement in order to satisfy the 1%ers and the status quo.

We're smarter know too. HeHe.

4. yep.
like they didn't even happen. hopefully 8 years later more and more and MORE people are getting their news from alternative sources and turning away from the corporate media. it's kind of looking that way with the OWS movement growing daily. :)

2. I can remember the demonstration in DC against *'s troop surge.
Close to 500,000 people, enough that we entirely surrounded the Capitol building. Cspan showed it for 45 minutes but crickets from everyone else. It was a glorious time on the mall but like they say...ya had to be there. Very sad.

3. And being right gained us what, exactly?
Not being a smartass, just trying to keep things in perspective.

The hard fact is that the 1% controls the police, the media and the military. Until that changes, protests are just group feelgoods.

5. That's the horrible truth
but perhaps it will morph into something else.
