The folks out protesting don't get their news from msm
Morning Joe , Tweety, oreilly and blitzer and others are not on their screens..Until now, we were virtually invisible as a group with hearts and minds and coherent thoughts. Teabaggers on the other hand and gun toting crazies have been front and center. MSM has had its day. Shut it off and shut it down.

1. Tune out, turn on & drop in.
(Let nothing go to waste; if you have a perfectly good slogan, recycle or re-purpose it.)

9. Except for a few periods totaling no more than a few years,
I have lived all my adult life with little or no TV watching. I'm 67.

Maybe it's because I didn't imprint on it as a young child--in my remote rural region of Wisconsin, there was no TV until I was 10 or 11 years old.

18. I pick and choose what I watch and I am not willing to give those
programs up. I also at the age of 70 do not see the need to give them up. KO, Rachel, O'Donnell, Big Ed, Chris Hayes.

as most international broadcasting. It doesn't matter which carrier you have, all you need is an Internet connection.

15. About a month or so ago RT now has its own separate channel in the
Channel Store just called "RT." They have RT streaming news and also documentaries streaming. Both are excellent IMO and cover a range of topics. The streaming documentaries are really interesting. I find Max Keiser interesting in the mornings with his summary of financial news/discussions.

16. I just added it to my channels!!! I forgot I had Democracy Now! there, too.

I wish Current was streaming there, also. All they had was "the best of Current".

20. Yep, "the best of Current" doesn't have a lot IMO. I had at one time thought they
might have KO streaming, but not so. At one time I was able to stream KO on Justin TV, but that went away too. I think Current TV must have exclusivity deals with those major carriers that have Current TV. It's also so republican here I can't imagine our local cable provider ever having Current TV. Oh well, I'm glad I have Roku.

22. I have Current on FIOS but I have to pay more for the higher level it's in.
Edited on Fri Oct-07-11 12:07 PM by valerief
What else do I get for that higher level? Nothing but crap. Sports, Jeebus, Kids, Warped History, Pseudoscience, and Moran Sitcoms.

We had to keep getting larger packages to get Current. We only watch an handful of stations but we get Keith.

10. the one-to-many model of media is dead
many of the protestors are too young to remember when or why the MSM was ever considered "mass communication" since it is mostly a medium for advertising and sales.

Many-to-many forever!
