Would someone please educate me.
I have a facebook friend who is in this "LaRouche....group I guess.

I googled it and i'm not getting a clear picture. I mean, not what they were but what they are now?

This person seems to know a great deal of political history, but from my point of view he seems misguided.

Thanks,
Duane

Explain please. Unless, of course, it's something along the lines of NSFW DO NOT GOOGLE THIS >>> "lemon party" <<< DO NOT GOOGLE THAT NSFW in which case keep it to yourself please. :)

9. Sorry i'm not the extreme google searcher!
And why would I keep it to myself? Are you somehow involved with this group?

I wasn't asking you to puzzle me. But continue if you must.

12. Your post there confuses me. I'm asking NNN0LHI what he means and suggesting that...
...if it's some sort of horrid thing like "lemon party" he should probably decline to explain. My DO NOT GOOGLE THIS comment is directed at people who don't know the "lemon party" meme; it's along similar lines as "two girls, one cup" and for the love of god don't google THAT either if you aren't already familiar with it. You've been warned, because Internet.

8. Well, they have been around for a while.
I researched this group and it seems thay had a bunch of nut cases.

I want to know about this group in these days. I want to know who they are. From where. Their mission?

I know, i'm asking a lot.

11. Well after reading a bit...
it looks like this group kinda changed. But nothing says they are peaceful now.

This LaRouche guy, and his wife, must be dead by now....right?

4. Crazy ultra-right-wing bunch
They've been around since at least the early 70s.
Knew someone who was a member; when he finally broke free, he described it as a cult that uses brainwashing on its members.

10. Wikipedia says they have been around longer than that.
The one thing (if I had to mention one) would be that DU has some of the well informed people on board.

SO, on a scale of 1-10, just how bad are these people and who is their leader these days?

Well, this person went to DC today and I had to let him know that if he caused violence that it would be his ass in jail.

I know the people are informed about such matters.

13. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being Gerald Ford and 10 being Hitler, LaRouche is an 8. n/t

14. "LaRouche believes that a super elite (the "oligarchy") is in control of world events,
a group that includes the Rockefellers, the London financial center, the British royal family, the Anti-Defamation League, the KGB, and the Heritage Foundation. Others include Nazis, Jesuits, Freemasons, Communists, Trilateralists, international bankers, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the Socialist International—all supposedly controlled by the British—as well as Hitler, H.G. Wells, Voltaire, and the Beatles as representatives of the 1960s counterculture.

The conspirators may not be in touch with one another: "From their standpoint, (the conspirators) are proceeding by instinct," LaRouche has said. "If you're asking how their policy is developed—if there is an inside group sitting down and making plans—no, it doesn't work that way ... History doesn't function quite that consciously."

...in 1998 that LaRouche tried in the mid-1980s to build bridges to the black community. Marable argued that most of the community was not fooled, and quoted the A. Philip Randolph Institute, an organization for African-American trade unionists, declaring that "LaRouche appeals to fear, hatred and ignorance. He seeks to exploit and exacerbate the anxieties and frustrations of Americans by offering an array of scapegoats and enemies: Jews, Zionists, international bankers, blacks, labor unions - much the way Hitler did in Germany."
