Mother of missing baby says police accused her
The parents of Lisa Irwin appeared this morning on national news shows and said they were frustrated with the tactics of Kansas City police investigators.

Local police representatives, meanwhile, insisted Friday that the search continues for the missing 10-month-old girl despite the parents’ decision to stop talking with police.

“Our main focus is finding Lisa Irwin, and we hope to continue the cooperative communication that we have had with the parents,” said Sgt. Stacey Graves, a Kansas City police spokeswoman.

On Friday night, supporters of the parents planned a spur-of-the-moment prayer vigil for 9 p.m. at Penguin Park, located at Vivion Road and North Norton Avenue.

2. Shady? Where do you get that?
I have the exact opposite opinion. The mother is devastated and the dad appears to be in shock.

5. She failed it after being questioned for 10 hours
And the cops lied to her over and over, telling her that the dad had confessed. And they told the dad that she had confessed. But neither one confessed.

Dad finally said he was worn out and wanted to go home. So he left the police station, went home and turned on his TV to hear the cops claiming he and the mom were no longer cooperating.

I challenge anyone to pass a lie detector after being grilled by cops for 10 hours.

11. So what? It's like saying she failed her phrenology exam, or her rising sign was wrong.

10. KCPD kept her and her husband separate,
grilling them for over ten hours, claiming that the other had confessed and/or pinned it on them. No breaks during that time, either, and they have two more kids waiting for them at home.

Polygraphs are not admissible because they are unreliable. I wouldn't trust one.

7. This is such a strange situation.
Memorial Day weekend we were getting ready to file a missing person report on our 18 yr. old and I was a wreck and I can't imagine what it would be like with a 10 month old.

And the deputies kept grilling me, not my husband but me, until I stated flatly, "If I had done something to my son I sure as hell wouldn't have called you. I called you because I don't know where he is and I need help locating him". I was shaking and in tears through the whole process. I was having difficulty talking to CREDO when I called them to get a summary of his phone calls in the past 48 hrs. as he had stopped answering phone calls or responding to text messages around midnight and this was around 12:30 the following afternoon.

I don't think that I would've done very well on a polygraph that day.

I hope that baby Lisa is found unharmed and soon and I can't imagine the nightmare for her parents.

9. Yeah, although his Dad met him in the driveway and told him
Edited on Fri Oct-07-11 09:33 PM by tnlefty
that he had all of us worried sick, I met him in the driveway and told him "never again" and I was in tears. He thought that it was over until his Grandma (my Mom) gave him a verbal lashing before he got into the house and her husband had a few words with him, too.

Then his brothers, one older and one younger, set in on him. Yeah between us all he knew he'd royally fucked up.

He lied to us and we thought he was in a neighboring county...he took a road trip to IN and I guess he thought we wouldn't find out where he was...sheesh. We learned of his whereabouts from a friend while the deputies were here. She called later and sincerely told me that if she'd known that he'd lied to us and that we didn't know where he was going, she would've told us. He stated that if he'd talked to us about it we would've said no, so he chose to lie and take off.

I can't imagine what those parents are going through. A 10 month old can't be tracked via cell phone records, nor make contact in any way. A true nightmare.
