p.s. Grayson did not talk much during the show, but when he did he gave strong statements that the audience went wild over.
I 'think' the time the audience gave him the 'standing O' was when he was talking about OWS - but I am not positive.

9. I tuned in during new rules...

and I did notice that O'Rourke did seem to look to happy at the end of the show as Maher finished explaining some facts about hypocritical republiCONS.

4. The statement that got him the SO....

was when PJ O'Rourke told him he should be their (The OWS folks) spokesman and Grayson gave a list of statistics re: the American people (how many can't see a doctor when they're sick, how many can't find work, etc) and at the end he said "Then yes, I'll be their spokesman!"

The clapping and cheering went on for as long as I've ever heard it on a Maher show.

11. He was magnificent.

Last night's show had me literally screaming at the screen. Nicole Wallace is a vapid individual, spouting utter nonsense about how Republicans "handle logistics so much better" (than the OWS movement). "Where do they go to the bathroom?", she wondered, unintentionally comically. Meanwhile, noted douchebag, P.J. Rourke attempted to trivialize the movement - and progressive policies in general, as ill-planned adolescent pranks sprung from disaffected youth. Rourke, in one of his several failed attempts to sound important, mentioned going to China as a prelude to joking about finding some "coke" - as if this reference somehow gives this empty barrel of a human some kind of hip cred.
Grayson earned every bit of his standing ovation - I stood in my LR - setting the record straight about why the OWS even exists. Rourke and Wallace were left ogling each other as to what type of kink they could get to after the show, while listening to something "hip" on their I-pods.
My first reaction to idiot-speak from Rourke & Wallace was to urge the studio audience to shout them down. But I think it's far better to behave in the respectful manner that the audience did and let these failed right-wing conspirators speak - all the while indicting themselves as the elitist, racist, misogynists that they truly are. Perhaps the day of reckoning is fast approaching.
