picture the democratic way. at the city level.
that would be my challenge right now. doing a design project, and need iconic photos of things that have been accomplished by dems at the municipal level.

got a beautiful city project built under a dem administration in your city?
post info here, w or w/o a photo, and if i/we use it, i will donate $50 to the municipal democratic candidate of your choice.

decision will be made by the end of the month.

(ps, doing this as a volunteer)

4. Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but my city always has had a Democratic mayor
Odd, for an otherwise red district. There's always some project going on, revitalizing downtown, the Glens Falls Civic Center, expanding the library and, last I knew, they were planning a 9/11 memorial for the park. Our Democratic congressman (NY-20, who I worked for, but who lost last fall to a teabagger *sigh*) was instrumental in bringing new small businesses to the area. :hi:

5. thanks. i'm thinking libraries.
i suppose somewhere republicans built libraries, but not any more. given the choice, they are dismantling them.
here in chicago we have so many built in ritchie daley's time. and they are award winning modern architecture, too.

6. Well, they did expand the public library here and it really is very nice.
But isn't the library budget up to the voters? I know that I regularly vote on this... :hi:
