Police seeking new interview with baby Lisa Irwin’s parents
Kansas City police confirmed Saturday that investigators are trying to arrange a fresh interview with Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin to discuss their missing daughter, 10-month-old Lisa Irwin.

Police spokesman Steve Young said the interview has not yet taken place, but that investigators were working Saturday to make a “sit down” with the couple happen.

Mike LeRette, Bradley’s cousin and a spokesman for the family, could not immediately be reached for comment on the interview request. Earlier Saturday, however, he told The Kansas City Star that family members had planned to scale back their media interviews for the time being and focus on generating tips for police.

LeRette said lawyers are now working with the family to set up a trust fund that would accept donations for a reward fund.

That process is moving slowly, LeRette said, but he hopes to have an announcement soon. Family members sense that the volume of tips to authorities has fallen off in the last couple of days and they hope a generous reward fund will encourage more tips.

1. Uh oh.
When that happens, it often means they think someone shook the baby too hard.

2. She's gone, not shaken.
Disappeared from her crib in the middle of the night Monday. No clues yet. The cops held her parents for 11 hours on Tuesday and tried to make them confess but they insist they didn't do anything to the baby, she just disappeared.

7. it's kinda sad state of affairs
when you feel like you should call a lawyer before you call the police.

11. I understand what happened to her, as far as the police and public know.
But it's entirely possible that she's "gone" because "someone" lost their temper and the poor little thing ended up dead as a consequence, and "someone" ran off and hid her in a brook under some stones, or buried her out in the woods, or something. People do stupid things, and say stupid and untrue things when they are guilty of doing stupid, violent things. It would not be the first time (Susan Smith, e.g.).

It's also entirely possible that the police are wrong and are squeezing the wrong people.

Generally, though, when they go after the parents after saying "We don't suspect them" it's pretty plain that they DO suspect them.

I have no insight and no dog in this fight. For the sake of the little one, I'm on the side of "I hope some crazy lady swiped the kid and is taking great care of her, and will be caught very soon indeed with no harm done to the child."

It's not looking like I will get my wish, though.

5. It's far more intriguing than
the reports about landfills and not cooperating, yet it's been brushed under the rug for the past few days.

A couple in California has been noticed with a child matching her description-a couple who didn't have a child before.

10. I know.
I remember you from years back. It's either personal or someone who thinks the family did it and doesn't like how either of us have defended them. Way too many people on here who know nothing about how bad KCPD can be.

13. If your baby went missing
would the police who are working on the case have to "try to arrange" an interview with you?

Or would you be in constant communication with the cops, doing your best to help them?

Obviously I can't help wondering if the parents are somehow involved.
