No WSWS member would ever say they are not communists. WSWS is part of the 4th International (the COMMUNIST international). To all Leninists, socialism is the period that happens before communism which occurs after the withering away of the state. Leninists fight for socialism meaning that they believe we can't immediately move to communism, but communism is the end goal.

Have seen it with my own eyes. What's paranoid about stating the truth that this is Socialist propaganda?! IT IS. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, I'm saying that just like every other left-leaning political party they are there as well trying to up their membership. This poster isn't an "official" statement by the occupiers, it's propaganda printed by one certain individual that obviously doesn't speak for ALL of the occupiers. In my trips down there MOST of the folks I've talked to are Liberals and Progressives.

There was a socialist interviewed on NPR that sure sounded like he thought he was talking for everyone there. (I don't think he used the word 'socialist', but his message was that OWS was for 'complete redistribution of wealth' to replace capitalism. Showing a completely shallow and irresponsible view of what capitalism is, and what his grand vision would truly mean to actual people.)

The Socialist Party is trying to claim this movement completely, which to be fair, is fine, I understand why they would try. But at the end of the day this is a left-wing movement of all stripes because FOX news has already made OWS it's enemy so the right is staying home. But I would bet when push comes to shove a large majority would identify as Liberals, Progressives, Greens when it comes to voting time.
