...make sure every participant and sympathizer is registered to vote.

2. I say build the movement until there's enough momentum for a successful general strike.
A strike is what this country needs, to force the fuckwads in power to do something in the interests in the people at least once in a while, but up until now, there's been no movement strong enough to make a strike happen.

Until OWS. I say we continue to build the movement, make it millions strong, and then GENERAL STRIKE!

12. And they said a movement as big as OWS couldn't happen here.
Have some imagination and ambition, instead of perpetuating the state of clinical depression the one-percenters want to keep us in...

13. Sorry, I don't ever remember hearing that. There will be no general strike
in the 3rd most populous nation in the world where union membership is at a 70 year low at 11.9% and where the vast majority of citizens are still too comfortable and satisfied to simply walk off their jobs and risk being fired and losing their way of life.

Be real, this is no comparatively small and left leaning European country with high union membership. There will be no general strike but that does not mean that the OWS will not result in potential big changes.

8. +100
A general strike is the only answer. It is far less of a fantasy than expecting the democrats to do anything for us.

3. OWS isn't about the Democratic Party.
It's not a partisan political football for people to kick around. It's something entirely new and I pray to god that it stays that way. I don't want either party anywhere NEAR it.

They are not thinking of Obama or the Democratic Party. It's bigger than that.

Because once they have a leader or declare a Party affiliation, they will be destroyed by the Republican and corporate media. Any leader's credibility can be destroyed by them and, in doing so, would destroy the movement in its infancy...
