The expenses for running a household could all be deductible, so that all that is taxed is "income minus expenses", instead of gross income. Rent or mortgage, Food and clothing, Utilities, etc., all could be deductible for so-called "private parties". Right now poor folks work so much, if they can find work, that one could say that having a place to sleep and eat is merely a support structure for the business(es) they work for to keep the humans alive so they can work the next day. As it is right now, one could say the tax code is hostile toward citizen's households versus business.

Yeah, our leaders could decide to tax corporations the same way as people, and not allow any deductions, just like the IRS is demanding of the California medical-marijuana dispensaries.

It's not really one or the other that is bad or good to me, but rather that the consistency and similarity of business and household tax structures is hypocritical. Just a few deductions for households, and many for businesses. I guess the tax system has already been maximally gamed to favor a few at the expense of the many.
