3. He is.
But he's also a damn talented musician who you have to respect for that reason. Can't hate on a guy who is doing his thing like Kanye is doing.

14. What you said, Frenchie. I guess we'd be better off if those guys...
had never involved themselves in public life? In my life, I've known very well people at all levels of income. There are rotten, worthless people, and wonderful, caring people at all levels.

And made it to the top through the industry. A lot of them know a lot about what it means to be at the bottom. There's a good chance that they do care.

EDIT: He's featured in the documentary "Bling" (it's on Netflix) about hip hop and blood diamonds. He's a knowledgable guy and there are a few things he says that shows that he IS aware and does care a lot about issues related to poverty and the gross inequalities in the world.

20. kayne west is a pompous spoiled brat.
I've never heard a "song" of his but I was at bonnaroo a few years ago and he practically ruined the entire festival because he insisted on being the only person on any stage at the time of his performance and then he proceeded to be over 2 hours late. so 100,000 people were sitting around with nothing to do but wait for him. he was the only performer in the whole festival that insisted on all the other stages shutting down while he performed. he basically lost 100,000 fans that night. I've heard of other antics of his.... not sure why he gets so much attention as a "musician" but he seems pretty pompous to me.

22. Thanks, Kanye. We're in a celebrity soaked culture, so...
this matters - whether you like Kanye or not - this matters. And I appreciate his going there. Although I'm not a fan of most rap music (I do like some of Kanye's)I often find that rappers voice my political views extremely well.
