1. It wasn't enough that Dallas oversaw the execution of an American
president or that Texas gave us not one but two international war criminals as presidents (LBJ and W). Time for a general strike to shut down this country. NO MORE BUSINESS AS USUAL.

17. Actually intended it more as a 'Dallas jab,' as Dallas seems to have
a special talent for snuffing out democracy, a la November 22, 1963.

2. Seattle, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Des Moines arrests all at the same time.
Edited on Tue Oct-11-11 02:08 AM by provis99
This looks like a police effort coordinated at the national level.

on edit: Looks like we can add St.Louis and Los Angeles to the list, too

on second edit: Occupy Memphis appears in trouble too...

3. ..then they fight you.....
You can be sure it was co-ordinated at a National Level.

This is what the 'Patriot'Act was meant for all along.

5. And like peer-to-peer file sharing continues, so will OWS.
No figurehead, no central location, no particular person(s) to remove, always evolving, continuously multiplying and forever gaining in popularity.

The revolution will not stop. Perhaps delayed but not stopped.

4. This article says there were given until Friday - It was posted yesterday - .Must have changed..
http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/kera/news.newsmain/article/0/0/1862109/North.Texas/Dallas.Gives.Protest.Campers.A.Deadline

DALLAS, TX (KERA) - The honeymoon is over for Occupy Dallas, which began its protest last week. A city permit says protesters may camp out at Pioneer Plaza downtown until 5pm on Friday. KERA's BJ Austin says more than three dozen campers will have to decide whether to risk arrest after that deadline.

So far, there's been a spirit of cooperation between the city, police and protesters. City officials even helped Occupy Dallas file for the special use permit that will include delivery of a Port-A-Potty. Protesters walked to nearby Dallas City Hall yesterday to hand deliver a letter. They wanted to personally deliver it to the Mayor, City Manager or a Council member. The protester who prefers to be called just Kooper read part of the letter while waiting in the hall outside the Mayor's office. It made no demands. It was more like a friendly update.

7. Wanted to ad NO Dallas area TV station is reporting anything on the Protesters - I could find
nothing on any of their sites. It is like this is not even in the Dallas area. Interesting! I know I have checked other areas, NY, Boston, LA and all of their newspapers and TV's stations are covering the Protest in their area. Hmmmmm....

11. Dallas Morning News, Channel 4 Fox local, Channel 5 news,
Channel 8 local news, Channel 11 local news.

Those are the main news sources. I have seen only one story on TV news, and that was about a protest for one day last week during the week.

I have no idea what "CW DFW" is, and I've lived in Dallas for decades.

But I don't read the local news stations' websites. I guess I'll start checking that.

10. Nope. I'm in Dallas and didn't know about the protest. In fact,
I complained in DU last week that I'd heard there was going to be a protest last week on a week day. I complained about them not having it on a Saturday, so working people could go.

I never heard about it continuing through the weekend. I checked the news on Saturday to be sure. No news on it, that I saw.

15. I figured there would be an announcement or story, if there would
be a weekend protest. After all, I saw teh first story in the regular news on TV (I think that's where I saw it).

16. All coordinated crackdowns and all dangerous
This will have fallout for these states and the police.

It will only be a matter of time before a police officer kills someone who has the right to protest.

Just a matter of time...
