Growing mobs occupying wall street... Eric Cantor
Edited on Tue Oct-11-11 08:26 AM by nadinbrzezinski
where have I heard this before?

Oh yes, I have...

Haymarket 1884... it was mobs

The US of the 1930s, it was mobs...

Absolutely another place... Boston 1774...

Eric thank you for validating the movement in this way.

They do not realize what they are doing... which is a good thing.

4. That's not the point... the point is that the ruling elites
are starting to realize this is serious... but they have no way to respond to it in any way, but the predictable one.

2. IMO every time Cantor opens his mouth he incites more to join OWS. Keep it up, Cantor,
excellent job! Well done! You're one of the best spokesman for OWS!

8. The American riflemen thought the British uniforms made perfect targets.
Edited on Tue Oct-11-11 08:37 AM by hobbit709
Those crossed white belts in front made it look like the notched shingles they used to shoot at during shooting matches.

10. True story, having been a red cross worker
I thought the vest made a perfect target too

At times I refused to wear that nice target, mostly at shootouts.

war on drugs is not just a headline for me

Oh and before you say it... the American Red Cross ran it's last ambulance service in the 1920s... the Mexican Red Cross still does...

7. One of my extended family members was hanged for supposedly helping to incite the Haymarket Riot
George Engel was his name. My mother looks just like him. My mother's daughter got the revolutionary genes, though. ;)

And yes, our family history also includes Friedrich Engels, one of the fathers of Marxist theory. I have his nose, sadly. :P

14. Someone should sneak up behind him and yell "BOO!"
His paranoia is probably justified. I can imagine him getting lots of swirlies in his life. And it's got to be embarrassing when it's other congresscritters doing it.
