1. It is quite simple...

You can protest your government, not the piggy banks that fill their pockets.

I don't like the government = 24/7 fox news coverage!

I don't like corporate greed = that's a macing!

2. No, actually I don't think so...

As many here have been more than delighted to point out, those Teabagger assemblies attract...wow....TENS of people to them.

Whereas the OWS protests are attracting thousands.


Any law enforcement people given the responsibility of keeping order are not going to be as wary of TENS of people as they are of THOUSANDS.

If a riot breaks out among TENS of people, it's easily contained.

If, however, a riot breaks out among THOUSANDS of people, that's not so easy.

So it's not that one is "more OK" than the other. It's the numbers and what might happen as a result of more people being present.

3. Most likely the "riot" would be instigated by right wing agitators...

It is happening today as it happened when I was in college in 1970. Local police infiltrated our protest groups and tried to create trouble.
