After clashing with Republicans, MEA spends $500K on ads statewide (video)

After fierce clashes with Republicans this year, the state's largest teachers' union isn't going gently into that good night.
The Michigan Education Association (MEA) is shelling out about $500,000 on ads statewide, MIRS reports. The union is spending a little under $25,000 for spots in the 51st District where House Education Chair Paul Scott (R-Grand Blanc) is being recalled.
The new ad features a fat-cat CEO stealing an apple, backpack and a piano from kids. That's a criticism that Gov. Rick Snyder and legislative Republicans gave a $1.8 billion dollar tax cut to big businesses while cutting $1 billion in education funding.
