My mother sent me the Lou Prichett letter today
I am not going to re-print that drivel. If you haven't seen it, google it.

This is my response (reply all)

Oh mother...

A self described corporate millionaire is afraid that the president is going to stop our system of corporate welfare and get make him actually pay his fair share, and you find this chilling?

I find it refreshing.

He questions how a black man got into an Ivy league school.
He questions his patriotism and upbringing.
He cries "socialism" and "class warfare" because he pays less taxes than I do and I'm UNEMPLOYED, and the president wants to change this!
He claims that his brand of corporatism is saving our country when it actually has been destroying it for 30 years. It almost destroyed the WORLD economy a short 3 years ago!
He claims the president will not listen to opposing views, when that is all he has done over the past three years. ( Republican obstruction has blocked even the most mundane bill from passing without a super-majority.)
He claims the media has given him a free pass when they tout the tea party and every conspiracy as if it is a fact, and allowed the Donald to spout his insane rhetoric for months before the president was forced to ask the governor of Hawaii to violate state law and release his long form BC, and it still was not enough!
Despite their insane daily drivel, when has the president asked to shut down Fox News? Ever?

This is a scared man, who controls more money personally, than 400,000 Americans do COMBINED, and is worried that he may have to pay an extra 3% in taxes.

It is refreshing that this letter has been released, because it shows me that he and his ilk are scared.
And that's a good thing. They should be.

Love you mom.
Keep sending these letters. I love expanding your horizons.

Thoughts before I hit <send>?

6. a fitting email gift for your Mom... "VIDEO: Reagan Called For An End To ‘Crazy’ Tax Loopholes..."

VIDEO: Reagan Called For An End To ‘Crazy’ Tax Loopholes That Let Millionaires Pay Less Than Bus Drivers

By Pat Garofalo on Oct 3, 2011 at 9:05 am

When President Obama released his plan for “the Buffett rule,” which involves closing tax loopholes and ensuring that millionaires pay their fair share in taxes, he explained that “middle-class families shouldn’t be paying higher taxes than millionaires and billionaires.” “Warren Buffett’s secretary shouldn’t pay a higher tax rate than Warren Buffett,” he said.

Ever since, many Republicans have been attacking Obama for inciting “class warfare.” “It looks like the President wants to move down the class warfare path,” said House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI). “I don’t think I would describe class warfare as leadership,” agreed Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH).

However, if calling for an end to millionaires having lower tax rates than their secretaries is class warfare, Obama is only the latest class warrior to occupy the Oval Office. In a June 6, 1985 speech at Northside High School in Atlanta, Georgia, then President Ronald Reagan explained that tax loopholes allowing a millionaire to pay lower taxes that a bus driver were “crazy,” because they allowed the “truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share”:

We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy. <...> Do you think the millionaire ought to pay more in taxes than the bus driver or less?
