Tea Party "patriots" want no comparison to "holligan & litterbug" OWSers

Tea Partiers are steamed. They don't like being compared to the Occupy Wall Street protesters one bit.

The Tea Party Patriots - the nation's largest Tea Party organization - has released a statement describing the anti-Wall Street demonstrators as hooligans and litterbugs.

"Tea Party rallies have always been safe and clean," co-founders Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler said.

"Unlike in New York, we can find no reports of Tea Partiers being arrested, individually or en masse, at the thousands of tea parties across the country with millions of attendees that have taken place for years now."

It added Tea Partiers are "not lawbreakers, they don't hate the police, they don't even litter. A quick glance at the TV reveals the sharp contrast posed by the Wall Street occupiers."

I heard one New Yorker this weekend say that the park was probably about at its cleanest, considering there were individuals going around specifically to pick up every single cigarette butt/piece of trash on site. Things are incredibly well-organized inside the park. If only everyone could see it.

Besides, civil disobedience has a long and noble history in this country, and being arrested for acting on your beliefs is not necessarily anything to be ashamed of. The original Tea Party was against the law, for Pete's sake.

12. Off the top of my head, the Rand Paul curbstomper alone makes this guy a liar.

Physically assaulted a counterprotester, stomped on her head, got arrested, charged with assault.

Then there's the death threats, the marching around packing assault-rifles, the bricks through windows, the spitting on a Congressman (resulting in another arrest), the attempt to blow up Congressman Perriello, the constant stochastic terrorism that resulted in the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords.

Shall I keep going?

Of course, even when the teabaggers are on the verge of forming lynch mobs, and they're making veiled or even open death-threats, do you see the cops committing unprovoked acts of assault, kettling, mass arrests? That just shows what side the cops are on...
