PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- As protests inspired by Occupy Wall Street spread into Rhode Island and across the nation, Governor Chafee says he understands the frustration fueling the movement.

Chafee said Wednesday that the anger at Wall Street and at the federal government is being driven by middle-class anger and dissatisfaction with elected leaders.

Chafee, an independent, said that the middle class is what "made America great," but that it is being "squeezed" by a bad economy and policies from Washington. 2. Squeezed? Try obliterated
We've got three classes left: the obscenely rich, the working class, and the underclass who have been shut out of jobs and foreclosed out of their homes.

Too many of us remember when we weren't treated this way. The cops might be paid to clear the streets, but they won't stay cleared and they won't stop this movement.

We're the 99%. There are too many of us to ignore.

4. I'm proud I voted for the guy over the so-called "Democrat"
....who's comment would probably be that "government and Wall Street need to compromise".

Sadly, I doubt he gets a second term.
