19 protesters arrested at Senator Ron Johnson's Wisconsin's offices

MILWAUKEE- As about 40 people picketed outside the offices of Senator Ron Johnson Wednesday morning, 19 protesters were arrested at about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday when they went inside demanding a meeting with the senator for an explanation of his vote against the American Jobs Act Tuesday.

Protesters entering the building at 517 E. Wisconsin Ave. were confronted immediately by Tony Blando, state director for Johnson, in the security area of the main lobby. Blando refused to allow the group access to the building . A mounted police officer and more than a dozen other officers armed with billyclubs and carrying plastic handcuffs arrived shortly afterward.

Outside the building, people outraged by Sen. Johnson's vote on Tuesday accused him of siding with millionaires and billionaires rather than with the 99% struggling to make ends meet. The crowd chanted, "Ron Johnson, he's the worst. He puts corporations first!" and "What do we want? Jobs! When do we want them? Now!"

As police led people out of the building in handcuffs, the crowd shouted, "Shame! Shame! Shame!" Those arrested were taken to the Police Administration Building, 749 W. State Street, and are not expected to be released until Wednesday night.

In Oshkosh, protesters arriving at the Oshkosh offices of Sen. Johnson at 2 p.m. Wednesday were turned away by Blando, the Johnson staffer who confronted the Milwaukee protesters earlier in the day. Although they were not able to schedule a meeting with Johnson, the group learned that he would be attending a fundraiser at North Shore Country Club in Menasha on Friday night.

Here's one of the scary hippie thugs being taken away:
