Some analysts skeptical of alleged Iranian plot
Source: CNN

Did an elite branch of Iran's military handpick a divorced, 56-year-old Iranian-American used-car salesman from Texas to hire a hitman from a Mexican drug cartel to assassinate the ambassador to Saudi Arabia by blowing up a bomb in a crowded restaurant in Washington?

U.S. officials say they are certain the bizarre plot against Ambassador Adel Jubeir was real.

But some analysts say they are not. They find it unlikely that the Iranian government, or legitimate factions within, would be involved in such a tangled plot.

1. Here's an excellent bit of video from Hillary Mann Leverett, mentioned in your...

2. I find it to be plausible, but.........
Going to war in Iran won't solve the damn problem, that's for sure. Not to mention the Iranian government is starting to get get REALLY desperate, especially given how successful the Arab Spring has been for the most part.

awfully convenient timing what with OWS sprouting up all across he country. I don't trust anything my government says anymore nor do I trust what their lapdogs, the MSM reports.

I just have a fundamental lack of trust for anything coming from our government. They could read Grimm's Fairy Tales during the news hour for all I care; I would pay just as much attention and give just as much consideration.

10. Some analysts..........and
some third graders could come up with a more sensible story than the one being thrown around.
I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with taking a bit of pressure off Holder and the
"fast and furious" gun running situation........nah........wouldn't be that.
And, Hillary says, "No one could make up a story like that, eh"?..........nah.........not
even third graders, Hillary. Reminds me of a comment made by another SoS......"No one
would have believed they would fly planes into buildings"........Con. Rice

13. I don't believe a thing they say.
This is just propaganda to ramp up anti-Iran sentiment to prepare us for another war.

Don't believe the government will start a war with Iran? They just passed three trade deals against the wishes of a huge majority of the American people. They do not care what we want.

Remember, you will either be with them or against them -the chicken hawks.

There is not "plot."

There is only war.

23. When I saw this on the news the other night,
I knew in my heart, gut and everywhere else that it wasn't true. It didn't sound right and more importantly it didn't feel right. The PTB have been wanting to go to war with Iran for awhile now. So why not fabricate a reason to go? Gosh this sounds familiar, doesn't it? Thankfully we're all starting to see through our so called government.

31. Thank god for "some analysts." We have to stop this crap in its tracks now,
We have to stop this crap in its tracks now, or we will be facing a juggernaut.

If they have a trump card to avoid serious reform of the banks, prevent the triumph of OWS, and preserve their oligarchy, this is it.

Our economy is wrecked. We have little real industry apart from the military industrial complex. The population is growing more restless and desperate. They need a war. I think we will see a steady, purposeful escalation of tensions with Iran and a drumbeat to come together as Americans against a ginned up threat.

And what better way for the private banking cartel to keep itself indispensable and protected from serious reform, than to ensure an even more urgent need for the loans they provide in order to fund a necessary war?

Edited on Fri Oct-14-11 05:04 AM by RFKHumphreyObama
During the entre Bush Administration, the dubious "terror alerts", the WMD debacle et all?

Amazing how everyone becomes conspiracy theorists once a Democratic President is in office but when a Republican is in office, their objectivity in questioning government policy mysteriously disappears
